职位职能: Manager, Mechanical

Work Location: Chengdu

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

The manager mechanical engineering is responsible for and has to coordinate all mechanical equipment (fabricated

equipment, rotating equipment and units) activities. He/She will be assigned to project teams on request, to be

responsible for mechanical investment project volume of up to € 10 million.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Support the Project/Engineering Manager with regard to Mechanical Equipment engineering issues.

2. Support and coordinate with other disciplines regarding Mechanical Equipment issues.

3. Coordinate, monitor & control all Mechanical Equipment engineering activities towards contractors working

at the individual project.

4. Represent the owner interests in the project towards contractors, vendors, construction companies, etc.

5. Provide technical expertise and joined project teamwork on request for Mechanical Engineering Team.

6. Establish local know-how and market contacts in the relevant discipline and share with other /new project

teams in BASF Asia Pacific and globally.

7. Establish and keep close contact to the related engineering discipline at BASF globally e.g. headquarter

Germany (good English skills required).

8. Prepare Cost Estimate

9. Prepare Basic Mechanical Data Sheets

10. Evaluate Technical Bids from Supplier

11. Check of Vendor Drawings

12. Perform Vendor shop audits and visits

13. Supervise Cost and Schedule for Mechanical Part in a Project

14. Implementation of improvement measures

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor degree with major study in Chemical or Mechanical engineering mandatory

2. At least more than 8 years total work experiences

3. Work experiences in chemical and petrochemical industry will be an advantage

4. Work experiences in specific professional field (mechanical engineering) will be an advantage

5. Proficient command of spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin) mandatory

6. Skilled in mechanical engineering mandatory, shall have a deep knowledge about fabricated equipment; shall

have deep knowledge about rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, etc.) and special units(e.g. drum filing,

refrigeration unit, etc.); shall have a deep knowledge about material and design codes (GB, HG, SH, ASTM,

ASME)
